This is a photo of the downstream side of the dam repair. This washout gate was always there. It was worn so bad from years of running water it was hard to figure the original size. Fortunatly there was another one in the center of the dam we could measure. Mike Roe Bridgeton Mill

While the covered bridge was gone it was a great time to get an excavator down by the old mill dam. A temporary road was built into our millpond to provide access for work on the new bridge. This had completely shut off the water on the mill side of the creek. And, Todd Crane…
