Here is Dale trying to get the big log onto the Wood Mizer. The Wood Mizer can lift a short log. But this one has an extension and can cut up to 45 feet. So, it needs help getting the extra length onto the saw. Dale tried several times to get it onto the saw but couldn’t. Then he asked Don to lower his end a little so there was less weight on Dale’s end. And then he was able to get it onto the saw. It rolled across the saw and almost off the back. Dale had to drive around the saw and push it back onto the middle. We started to cut it up and it started to rain. So, we finished the job the next day.<\/p>\n

It has been raining for several days. We have done a little sawing but mostly waiting. The weather man says it is going to be nice this weekend. Pingelton has not delivered their logs yet. They are probably waiting on dry weather just like us. I’m looking forward to seeing the 50″ + diameter logs they are going to bring us.<\/p>\n

This wet weather has given me time to get caught up in the Bridgeton Mill. I needed to grind some grain, make some mixes and bag some product. Hopefully I will be caught up by the time it quits raining. The Rummage Sale for the New Covered Bridge on Fri, Sat and Sun did well inspite of the rain.<\/p>\n
